Khaman Dhokla is made of chickpea flour.This is one of the most popular snack in Gujarat but now are days you can find it anywhere,now it is popular in most part of India because of it's sweet and salty taste enjoyed by all age group. Khaman Dhokla is so soft this make's it more popular for all age people just melt in mouth.This is snack is very less time consuming if you are having parties gathering you can make it in just few minutes.All the items used are very easily available in house,so without wasting anytime let's start.


2 cup Besan/Chickpea Flour

2-3 Tbsp. Rava/Semolina

6-7 Green chili Slit

2-3 Tbsp. Lemon Juice

1-2 Tbsp Oil

2-3 Tbsp Sugar

Salt to taste


1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder

1/2 Tsp Baking Powder (optional)

6-7 Curry leaves

Chopped Coriander


1Tbsp. Mustard seed

1-2 Tbsp.Oil

3-4 Tbsp.Sugar

Pinch of salt

2-3 Tbsp. Lemon juice

Curry leaves

2-3 cups water


In a bowl take besan add salt,sugar,lemon juice,rava and oil to it mix well

Mix water at regular interval so that consistency doesn't runs watery

Mix all the mixture well without lumps

Let the mixture rest for 10-15 minutes

After 15 minutes add eno and baking powder(optional) to the batter and mix it well,pour the batter in grease tin and put in kadhai

In a kadhai keep some water to boil when water starts boiling put a stand on it and top on it tin and cover it properly let it cook for 10-12 minutes after that check and let it rest for 5 minutes

In a pan take some oil add mustard seed,curry leaves and slit chilies add sugar and salt to it now goes in water,let it give a boil turn off the flame and pour the  water syrup on dhokla


Batter should be lump free

Baking powder is optional
