Lauki Ki Kheer | Doodhi Kheer | Bottle Gaurd Dessert | foddiescorner

Lauki as the name comes in mind for making desserts kids are eww lauki,no not at all but when you present this delicious pudding in front eww turns to wow.So presenting here delicious healthy lauki ki kheer with all the goodness of lauki. This dessert can be made anytime and within no time,simply you just need to grate it and cook in milk. Lauki kheer is widely made during fast,so let's start with it

Before cooking lauki/bottle gaurd one should always taste it if it's bitter simply discard it.


500 gm Fresh grated lauki

600-800 gm full Cream milk

3-4 tbsp. Sugar (according to taste)

2 tbsp.Ghee

1/2 cup Chopped dry fruits

3-4 cardamom


Wash and grate lauki,squeeze excess water from it

In a pan add 2 tbsp.ghee and cook grated lauki until all water dries process take 10-15 minutes on

low flame

Add milk to it and let it simmer on low flame for 10 minute after that add sugar accordingly

cardamom mix all well

Chopped dry fruits for garnishing

Serve hot or cold according to taste


Taste lauki before grating

Don't add kishmish in boiling milk

Sugar according to taste
