Achari paneer tikka recipe on tawa. In this recipe paneer cubes and veggies are marinated with achar masala to get achari flavor in tikkas, it is a popular north Indian cuisine. It is a very yummy starter great appetizer serves with green chutney and salad covered with mayo, it tastes yum your guests and kids are going to love it.
Achari tikka is brother of paneer tikka masala
- 1 cup thick curd/yogurt, fresh
- 1 tsp mustard powder/rai powder
- 1 tsp fennel powder / saunf powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder/jeera powder
- ¼ tsp methi powder/fenugreek powder
- ¼ tsp ajwain/carom seeds
- 1tsp.Garam Masala
- 1.5 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder / lal mirch powder
- ½ tsp turmeric / haldi
- 1 tbsp ginger - garlic paste
- 2 tbsp mustard oil / any cooking oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 1 capsicum, cubed
- ½ medium sized onion, petals
- 9 cubes paneer/cottage cheese
- 3 tsp oil, for roasting
In a large mixing bowl take curd after that add all dry spices mustard powder, chili powder, turmeric, fennel powder, cumin powder, garam masala, methi powder, ajwain also add ginger garlic paste.
now add lemon juice
Add 2 tbsp. mustard oil or any cooking oil.
Salt to taste.
Whisk smooth making sure the spices are mixed well with the curd.
Add paneer/cottage cheese, capsicum, and onions
Mix all well
Cover and keep in refrigerator to marinate for at least 1 hour or more.
Apply some oil on nonstick and now place marinated paneer, capsicum and onions
Roast the tikkas on medium flame on both sides with oil as required.
Now insert the marinated paneer, capsicum and onions into wooden skewers
Garnish the tikka with salad mix with mayo and green chutney
All the step same till marination
Screw paneer and all the veggies in the skewer and microwave it for 10 min. on each side at 230°c after 10min.flip it and apply some oil.
