Moong dal khashta kachori | Street style khasta kachori | foddiescorner

Learn how to make Khasta Kachori at home, moong dal khasta kachori tastes yum these are easy to make at home without any extra try this street style khasta kachori :)


2 tbsp. - crushed coriander
1 tbsp. - crushed fennel
1/2 tbsp. - crushed Cumin
½ tbsp. Mustard seed
¼ tsp – Asafetida / Hing
1 tbsp.trumeric powder
2 tbsp. - red chili
1-2tbsp.coriander powder
1 tsp - garam masala
100gm Besan
150gm Moong dal (soaked for half an hour)
1 tbsp chopped green chili
2 cup – wheat flour/Maida
80ml – Ghee (melted)/oil
Water as required.
Ghee / Oil to deep fry


Soak moong dal for half hour

 In a pan add oil,add all the dry spices (coriander,fennel,cumin,mustard seeds)roast them add chopped chilli and let it cook now add soaked dal with water cook until water dries add gram flour to it and mix all well till besan roasts add all the spices(turmeric, red chilli,coriander powder ,garam masala and salt to taste)mix all well sprinkle some water if filling is dry and let it cool

wheat flour add ghee/oil and salt  in the dough and massage it into your hands until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs add water and now knead the dough into nice and stiff dough. Continue kneading for 7-8 minutes

Let the dough rest under a damp cloth for 15-20 minutes

Roll it into cylindrical shape and then divide it into equal portions

Roll into flat disc then add the mixture into the circle and pull in all the sides together pinch it and seal it completely with the help of your fingers roll them

Heat oil on a very low flame add  kachori into the oil

Fry them until they turn brown in color for 8-10 minutes

Place them on absorbent paper

Khasta Kachori is ready to be served.
